Even More Leaked Photos of Zachary Quinto from the Star Trek Sequel Set

SPOILER WARNING

Past behind-the-scenes photos have shown Quinto as Spock battling the film’s villain, played by English actor and star of the BBC’s Sherlock.

Just last week more photos leaked, showing Quinto wearing a “volcano suit” while filming some stunt work.

The Star Trek sequel hits theaters on May 17, 2013, starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, John Cho and Benedict Cumberbatch.

New Leaked Photo from the Set of Star Trek Sequel

SPOILER WARNING

Today, a new photo has leaked from the set of the Star Trek sequel.

In a photo provided by Eric Ford of On Location News, Zachary Quinto as Spock, wearing a red metal suit (reminicent of Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man), is being lowered at a high rate of speed in a stunt scene. The scene is said to later involve a post-production volcano.

Zachary Quinto's Volcano Stunt

Along with the photo of Quinto, On Location News provided the following description:

After first rehearsing the scene with a Spock’s stunt double actor, Zachary Quinto was then rigged to a wire in front of a large green screen and lifted to a height of 10 stories high then dropped at a high rate of speed as if he was falling. In the scene Spock is wearing a “Volcano Suit” and carrying an unknown piece of equipment with the Starfleet emblem. A volcano is somehow involved in this scene. The crew had a real fire burning off camera to catch the fire reflections on Spock’s “Volcano Suit”.

The last photos to leak, back in March, depicted a battle between Quinto and the film’s villain Benedict Cumberbatch.

The Star Trek sequel, starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, John Cho and Benedict Cumberbatch, hits theaters on May 17, 2013.
