Creation Entertainment announced today that Scott Bakula has been added as a headliner to the Official Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas this August.
Bakula, who played Captain Jonathan Archer of Star Trek: Enterprise, joins fellow captains William Shatner, Kate Mulgrew and Avery Brooks at what's become the largest yearly Star Trek convention in the United States.

Today brings news that the Star Trek sequel has a few additional Southern California shooting locations planned.
According to Locations Hollywood, the additional locations will include the Budweiser Brewery, Sony Studios, Dodger Stadium, Long Beach City Hall, Vasquez Rocks and the Marine Corps Air Station in Tustin.

You can now download the game free at the official Star Trek Online website.
After Perfect World acquired Cryptic Studios back in August, it was first announced in September that the game would eventually go to a free-to-play model.

At Sunday night's 69th annual Golden Globe Awards, recently announced Star Trek sequel star, Benedict Cumberbatch Cumberbatch teased that his role in the next Trek film may not necessarily be a villain.

Production began last Thursday on J.J. Abrams' Star Trek sequel. In a press release today, Paramount officially announced the start of production of the film, which will be released to theaters on May 17, 2013.
